Hi, my name is Rupali Shelley. I’m 20 years old. I’m a dental student at Coorg institute of dental sciences , and I’m somewhere between third year and final year..i said somewhere between third year and final year, not because I’ve failed or I’ve got supplies..its COVID-19!! Yes! The whole world is now under the impact of corona and here I’m sitting in my home for the past 5 months worried about when will i have my third year exams and at the same time wondering how to listen to my final year online classes when I’ve not even officially completed my third year !
Moving on with my intro, let me take you to my family. My dad Mr. Shelley Krishnan, currently in his fifties is working in a petroleum company as an assistant manager (i guess! He never discloses his salary and job things!) in Bahrain. Its been 2 years since he visited us..again corona plays the villan role here.
My mom Mrs. Reshma Shelley, a cheerful lady at her forties. She’s a voice artist. She works in All India Radio as a casual announcer and does a lot of advertisement and dubbing too.
I have a sister.. Younger one.. Natalia.. Aka Nandu, at the peak of her teenage! The intensity of my love/ hate towards her (siblings things) gives her a lot more other names like kunju, vaavachi, kunjuduvava (yes, i know it sounds a bit cheesy) and of course all sort of bad words which are not yet prohibited in my home! She’s currently doing her 12th standard (from home since corona!) in DIS GHSS Kannur. I should say that she’s a really ambitious girl and she live for her dreams.
So, currently i live in my moms home, in Chalad, kannur, along with my grandma Vasanti. Right next to our home is Remya aunty ( i affectionately call her mimmie) my mom’s second sister with her husband Sohan (So’pn) and daughter Sandra (chaandu- my cousin).
